Common Ground Homesteading Club
Gain new knowledge and skills on homesteading topics: gardening, seed-saving, food preservation, simple down-to-earth living, making alternative household and personal care products, foraging, animal husbandry, orchard management, small scale maple sugaring, compost making, herbalism... By demonstrations, discussions, guest speakers, group book perusals, field trips, etc.
Sandi Pierson, Grafton Library Director is the organizer.
Our next meeting is on Saturday, March 16, 9AM, at the Grafton Town Hall. On the menu is a seed swap and soil blocking demonstrations. If time permits, we will have a slide show consisting of photos from group members’ projects, which may include the early development of our homesteading pursuits.
Typically held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7PM, Book Club meetings feature lively conversation, homemade refreshments, and an exceptionally friendly atmosphere. Books are chosen by the members, with monthly selections alternating between current fiction and non-fiction. New members are always welcome and may pick up a copy of each month’s book at the library.
